Start date:
09/21/2026. Duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,316–$2,477 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 4 days per week. Work setting: hospital Progressive Care/Intermediate Care Unit with a 1:4 patient ratio. The assignment emphasizes adult medical–cardiac care with acuity including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance use issues, and encephalopathy. Anticoagulation management with heparin drips is part of the caseload.
Experience required: 2 years in a PCU/IMCU or closely related critical care setting, plus BLS and ACLS certification.

- Provide direct patient care for adults in a PCU/IMCU, including patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, and encephalopathy
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and elevate to the multidisciplinary team as needed; implement, document, and revise care plans
- Administer medications and therapies appropriate to the unit, including management of anticoagulation with heparin drips per protocol; monitor for adverse effects
- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, perform frequent assessments, and coordinate with physicians, therapies, and case management to support timely discharge planning
- Contribute to patient safety and quality of care: follow infection control practices, accurate charting, and adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols
- Provide patient and family education as appropriate and support transitions of care through discharge planning
- 2 years of RN experience in PCU/IMCU or a closely related critical care setting
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a 1:4 patient ratio in a hospital setting
- Eligible to work in the United States; compliant with travel assignment requirements
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- 16-week contract with potential for extension based on assignment needs
