Location Atlanta, Georgia Position Summary Access Mental Health Agency is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Atlanta area. This position is 10 hours per week and requires availability on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(in-office), plus 2 additional hours weekly for follow-up care coordination, prior authorizations, and medical record requests. The RN supports outpatient mental health and substance use services through assessments, medication management, patient education, care coordination, and clinical documentation while collaborating with the treatment team to support positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments and monitor client progress.
Administer and evaluate medications.
Provide education to clients, families, and caregivers regarding mental health, medications, wellness, and relapse prevention.
Complete and maintain accurate electronic clinical documentation.
Coordinate medication services and communicate with pharmacies.
Maintain medication inventory and review treatment plans.
Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate on client care.
Assist with crisis intervention and emergency situations.
Complete follow-up calls, prior authorizations, and medical record requests.
Ensure compliance with agency policies, DBHDD requirements, CARF standards, and nursing regulations.
Perform additional administrative and client support duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Active Georgia RN license.
Associate's degree in Nursing with 5+ years of behavioral health experience, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 2+ years of related experience.
Experience with psychiatric nursing, medication management, assessments, and patient education.
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications.
Valid Georgia driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).Ability to pass a background check and complete required training.
