Overview
The Supervisor of Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center-RN oversees the clinical practice and patient care delivery, and has accountability, authority and responsibility for the daily CVDCoperations. Duties include management of human, fiscal and material resources and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Areas of responsibility include all outpatient cardiovascular diagnostic services including, but not limited to, Echo, Nuclear Cardiology, Stress, Clerical and PET/CT.
The Supervisor provides care to an adult and geriatric patient population.
Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of the CVDC staff, as appropriate.
Qualifications1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s Degree and three (3) years’ clinical experience OR Bachelor’s and two (2) years’ clinical experience.
2. At least one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty.
3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills.
4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within twelve (12) months of date of hire date into position).
