Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Neuro

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU/IMCU RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring strong neuro experience and a GA or compact RN license.

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro specialty required
• Strong neuro nursing experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days required
• Skills checklist matching the specialty required
• Certification cards and Nursys license verification required

• Neuroscience ICU and stepdown (IMCU) unit
• Floating between ICU and stepdown units likely
• ICU patient ratio of 1-2 and stepdown ratio of 3-4
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Deferred schedule type
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved
• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Care for patients in both ICU and stepdown neuro settings
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
