A Day in the Life on 8E

8E is a specialized Heart, Vascular & Transplant Stepdown unit caring for adults with complex cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, and transplant conditions.

As a primary telemetry unit, nurses continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, administer specialized cardiac medications, including non-titratable antiarrhythmics, and care for advanced postoperative and transplant patients.

You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse leaders, educators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team while developing advanced clinical expertise in cardiovascular and transplant nursing.

Comprehensive Orientation & Support

• Individualized orientation for experienced nurses, typically approximately 4 weeks
