American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with at least 2 years of recent post-anesthesia experience and Cerner proficiency for a 12-hour day shift position.

• Work in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) on the Ground Floor
• Cases include Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery, including higher acuity cases
• Unit is open 24/7 with call coverage required on holidays
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 12-hour day shifts (approximately 10:00a-10:30p)
• 3 shifts per week for a total of 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Unit overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required and must not be expired)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in PACU/post-anesthesia specialty required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Returning permanent staff applying as travelers (non-local) must have a 2-year break in service
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward
• 100% credentialing is required prior to start with no exceptions or conditional starts permitted
