American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night-shift admission unit at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-volume trauma experience.
Details- Admission unit caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery
- Rapid turnover unit with faster patient throughput than a typical Med/Surg unit
- Patient ratio of 5-6:1 for Med/Surg RNs
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling generally not approved
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
- Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
- Proven background managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
- Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required
- Work within a Level 1 trauma center known for high-acuity, complex, and challenging cases
- Provide care in a fast-paced, high-volume inner-city hospital setting
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
