American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a float pool role requiring BLS/ACLS certification and prior high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center experience.
Details- Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P patients
- Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
- May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Uses Epic EMR
- Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar sized facility
- Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume, Level 1 trauma center required
- Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma situations required
- Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
- Works within a Level 1 trauma center known for complex and high-acuity cases
- Minimal RTO availability
- Block scheduling generally not approved
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
