American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Inpatient Observation Unit position requiring 2 years of acute care experience in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center.
Details- 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the ED
- Fast-paced environment with medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-holds
- Cares for patients ranging from lower to higher acuity
- May float to other areas of competency
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
- Weekend shifts required 4 times per month
- No on-call responsibilities
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting required
- Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
- Provide care in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
- Candidates must have proven success managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments
- Holiday coverage is an expectation
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
