Job Opportunity – Oncology/Hematology Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 19-bed unit with an average daily census of 15 patients;
Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract;
Floating may be required within the facility system
- Comprehensive oncology and hematology patient population from diagnosis through end-of-life care, including oncologic emergencies and occasional off-service patients
- Advanced pain management experience with morphine drips, dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, and PCA pumps
- Epic EMR system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
- Chemotherapy administration experience with proper precautions, port management, and central line care
- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and lift teams
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required for chemotherapy administration
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Skills required:
chemotherapy administration, accessing and managing ports, central line care, blood and blood product administration, neutropenic precautions, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, and inpatient oncology experience - Community hospital experience preferred
- Must be willing to work major holidays as assigned based on contract length
- Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date to ensure timely onboarding
