Infusion Nurse

The Infusion Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, responsible for providing safe and effective infusion therapies to oncology patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients before, during, and after infusions; administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications; and monitoring for adverse reactions. The Infusion Nurse collaborates closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other care team members to coordinate treatment plans, educate patients and families on therapies and side effects, and reinforce self-care instructions.

Additional duties include maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety and infection control standards, managing infusion equipment and supplies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

• Clinical nursing skills in oncology or infusion settings, including Nursing and Direct Patient Care.
• Knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine principles relevant to infusion and symptom management.
• Experience with infusion therapy delivery, such as Home Infusion or ambulatory infusion practice.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Prior experience in oncology, hematology, or infusion center nursing strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and IV therapy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to evidence-based protocols.
