Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager
We have an opportunity for a motivated, self-directed Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to support the sites in Collin's South Region. As an EHS Manager, Atlanta Service Center, you'll work in a fast-paced environment and will foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program. This is a unique opportunity that will give you the chance to see our products as they are produced in the factory and then in use at customer locations.
What You Will Do:
- Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazardous workplace conditions.
- Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
- Partnering with site POCs and EH&S subject matter experts to assure compliance including appropriate documentation to prove alignment with federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements.
- Executing initiatives, programs, reports and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Investigating, analyzing and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses, and ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
- Interacting with employees of all levels, promoting relationships, learning the tasks employees perform and becoming known as a resource to the employees at the sites within your region.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
- Identifying environmental risk and supporting the sites' environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, air quality permitting, wastewater and toxic chemical reporting.
- Developing and implementing sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in safety auditing, inspection, and identifying hazards.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, or similar high-reliability sectors.
- Experience leading teams and performance.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to additional sites as needed.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
- Certification or experience managing Ergonomic risk reduction.
- ACE, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma or related Continuous Improvement tools and a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate in a straightforward manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
- Executive presence and comfortable interacting with leadership.
- Well versed in risk assessment and risk reduction.
