We are hosting a Quality Assurance Technician Assessment for qualified candidates interested in joining our Quality team.
Minimum Requirements to Attend:- Updated resume required
- At least 1 year of Quality Assurance experience (food manufacturing preferred)
- Take Quality Assurance Assessment
- High school diploma or equivalent
The Quality Assurance Technician I ensures compliance with food safety and quality standards within a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring production processes, verifying Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Quality Control Points (QCPs), conducting microbiological and analytical testing, and supporting regulatory compliance efforts.
The technician works closely with production teams to maintain adherence to HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards while ensuring product safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately document HACCP and quality data in Redzone and customer-required documentation
- Monitor and verify CCPs and QCPs through microbiological testing, titration, and other analytical methods
- Collect and analyze samples; record and interpret test results according to established quality systems
- Perform equipment calibrations (thermometers, scales, etc.) and conduct verification checks
- Conduct routine food safety and quality inspections at required frequencies
- Identify quality or food safety concerns and place product on hold when necessary
- Support inventory management of chemicals, PPE, and quality tools
- Assist with GMP, GHP, and SQF compliance training for production employees
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding quality or safety issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Two Warehouse Locations: 3600 & 3675
- Operating Days: Sunday through Saturday
- Note: Sunday work is mandatory for all shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM (both locations)
- Split Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM (4:00 PM on Sundays)
- End Time: Varies based on production completion
Flexibility for weekends and overtime is required.
Qualifications & Skills- 1–2 years of QA experience in a food processing environment preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, sanitation practices, ATP/APC swabbing
- Experience with calibrations, chemical titration, and O2/CO2 headspace analyzers preferred
- Strong mathematical skills (percentages, ratios, proportions, dilutions)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Cold and wet conditions (35–38°F)
- Exposure to active warehouse environment and moving equipment
- Required use of PPE and slip-resistant footwear
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, reach, climb stairs, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
