Manufacturing Systems Specialist
Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company reclaiming the lost art of rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft in the world today. By prioritizing relentless hardware iteration, we deliver high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield. We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.
AboutThe Role
As a Manufacturing Systems Specialist, you will become the internal authority for our Manufacturing Execution System (Manufacturo) and, over time, support the broader digital manufacturing ecosystem (MES → ERP → PLM). This is a hands‑on, highly cross‑functional role focused on enabling manufacturing operations through system support, workflow improvement, user training, configuration management, and process optimization. You will work directly with technicians, engineering, quality, inventory, and supply chain teams to ensure Manufacturo is scalable, intuitive, and operationally effective as the company continues to grow.
ResponsibilitiesDaily MNFRO Support Across All Teams

- Translate user intent into clear, correct MES workflow
- Actively support and partner with Engineering, Technicians, Inventory/Supply Chain, and Quality teams
MNFRO Configuration & Administration

- Conduct short, focused training sessions for all user groups
- Build and maintain an internal knowledge base of “how things work” across teams
- Drive adoption and standardization by making Manufacturo easier, clearer and more usable for everyone
- Train teams in advance so new releases are embraced as opposed to causing disruptions
Proactive Process Improvement
- Walk the floor and observe real user behavior
- Identify repetitive pain points, unnecessary clicks, confusing steps, or broken flows
- Assess whether issues are process/training/configuration related or product limitations
- Work with cross‑functional partners to redesign workflows to reduce friction
- Validate improvements with users and iterate quickly
- Spot opportunities where new features can solve real problems – even before users ask for it
- Identify capabilities users do not know exist and educate them
- Maintain a structured enhancement backlog based on real observations
