Position Summary
The Laboratory Technician II supports analytical laboratory testing within a manufacturing environment to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
The role performs routine chemical and physical analyses, supports instrument operation, and contributes to accurate data reporting.
Strong attention to detail and proficiency with digital tools, including the use and creation of Power BI and Power Apps, are important for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing, including:
- HPLC and GC sample preparation, operation, and basic troubleshooting
- Acid and Brix testing
- Particle size analysis
- Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and mobile phases as required
- Operate, monitor, and maintain analytical laboratory instruments according to SOPs
- Accurately document and review test results using digital systems
- Utilize digital tools (e.g., LIMS, spreadsheets, Power BI, Power Apps) for data entry, tracking, trending, and reporting
- Support development, enhancement, or maintenance of digital tools to improve lab efficiency and data visualization
- Follow GMP, GLP, and QA/QC procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and instrument readiness
- Support investigations of abnormal or out of specification analytical results
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 5 years of hands on analytical laboratory experience
- Experience supporting or operating HPLC and GC systems
- Experience performing acid, Brix, and particle size testing
- Experience working in a manufacturing, QA, or QC laboratory environment
- Familiarity with GMP requirements
Critical Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Proficiency with digital tools; experience creating or enhancing tools using Power BI and/or Power Apps is a plus
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple analyses and priorities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
- Analytical laboratory within a manufacturing facility
- PPE required; standing for extended periods
- Shift flexibility may be required
