MISTRAS Group is seeking an NDT Assistant to support field and shop inspection operations in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Position Summary:

MISTRAS Group is seeking an NDT Assistant to support field and shop inspection operations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The position is intended for candidates with previous NDT Assistant experience as well as NDT students or recent graduates looking to build a career in the nondestructive testing industry. The NDT Assistant supports certified NDT Technicians during inspection and testing activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist certified NDT Technicians with inspection and testing activities.
  • Support the setup, calibration, and maintenance of NDT equipment.
  • Prepare work areas, materials, and inspection tools before inspections.
  • Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
  • Travel locally to job sites as required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or lead technicians.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • NDT students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an NDT program are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or refinery environments.
  • Current safety certifications are an advantage.
  • Experience supporting RT, UT, MT, PT, or VT inspections is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in industrial environments.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel locally when required.
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in industrial environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
