Construction Quality Manager – MEP / Mission-Critical

The Role
An established international engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Manager to oversee quality management across major construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing project quality systems, ensuring that construction activities, materials and installation works meet contractual requirements, design specifications, applicable standards and client expectations.
This is a site-focused, MEP-oriented quality role
, working closely with Project Managers, construction teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients. The position will play a key role in inspections, audits, quality documentation, non-conformance management and continuous improvement across complex, mission-critical construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Plans in line with project and client requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and construction documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits and compliance reviews.
- Ensure construction activities meet design, specification, code and quality requirements.
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and root cause investigations.
- Work closely with construction teams and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
- Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material inspections and quality documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full traceability of inspections, testing and certifications.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters.
- Support pre-installation meetings and ensure quality procedures are understood across project teams.
- Provide quality training and guidance to site personnel and subcontractors.
- Produce regular quality reports, metrics and performance updates for project leadership.
- Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply quality inspection processes within mission-critical construction environments
. - Maintain a strong focus on MEP installation quality and project compliance.
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years' experience in construction quality management, QA/QC or a similar role.
- Strong experience within MEP construction environments
. - Experience working on large-scale construction, industrial, infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Experience developing and implementing Project Quality Plans.
- Proven experience conducting site inspections and quality audits.
- Experience managing non-conformances, corrective actions and quality investigations.
- Strong understanding of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and construction quality documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant construction codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Experience working on Data Centre, Mission-Critical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or Advanced Manufacturing projects
. - Experience with MEP systems and installations within complex construction environments.
- Experience with Procore, BIM 360, CMiC or similar construction management platforms.
- Quality management or construction quality certification.
- Experience working with major contractors, consultants or end-user clients.
Working Requirements
- Site-based / field-focused position with regular site inspections and audits.
- Ability to travel between project sites where required.
- Comfortable working within active construction environments.
- Strong ability to work with multiple project teams and stakeholders.
