Job SummaryA NIH grant‑funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Georgia Cancer Center for highly motivated individuals interested in cancer immunology and immunotherapy. The research focus is the development of new immunotherapy regimens through in-depth mechanistic understanding of tumor‑host interaction in the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment using cutting‑edge technologies. The successful applicant will plan, perform, and analyze experiments as part of a collaborative team, and will work closely with the principal investigator on manuscript preparation and scientific presentations.
Responsibilities- Perform Experiments – Plan, conduct, and document experimental procedures and results.
- Techniques – Execute routine immunology techniques including high‑dimensional flow cytometry, histology, immunohistochemistry staining, microscopic image acquisition, and analysis.
- Analyze and Interpret Experimental Data – Conduct data analysis and interpret results.
- Troubleshoot Technical Issues – Initiate troubleshooting, modify and improve existing protocols, and develop new protocols for research projects.
- Training – Assist the principal investigator with lab member orientation, student training, and basic laboratory operation instruction.
- Research – Summarize findings and publish results in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Attend Seminars – Participate in journal clubs, research progress seminars, and career development trainings.
- Other – Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in cellular immunology and molecular biology, including skills in high‑dimensional flow cytometry and advanced data analysis.
- Knowledge and skills in immunology and molecular biology, preferably in the context of tumor immunology and immunotherapy.
- Shift: Days, Monday–Friday (work outside normal business hours may be required).
- Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications within the established range (generally minimum midpoint). - Recruitment Period: 11/18/25 – Until Filled.
