Regulatory Compliance Specialist
About the Position
The Research Administration Support role provides essential administrative and operational assistance for research projects and laboratory activities. This role ensures compliance with funding and institute policies, supports lab coordination, and promotes efficient research operations. It is a one-year research assistant position under the supervision of Dr. Ratan Murty.
Responsibilities- Assist with documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting for research projects.
- Collaborate in preparing and submitting research proposals, supporting detailed budget development and financial monitoring.
- Help maintain inventory, coordinate equipment upkeep, and support safety compliance efforts.
- Ensure research activities follow institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in training on research policies, lab safety, and compliance standards.
- Serve as a point of contact between researchers, funding sources, and institutional offices.
- Organize and manage logistics for research meetings, workshops, and presentations to support project goals and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain and audit research records and compliance documentation to support data integrity and audit readiness.
- Provide administrative support to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma. Vocational Training/Degree may be preferred or required (some profiles may require additional education).
ExperienceOne or more years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related field.
- Experience collecting, and/or analyzing, and organizing fMRI data.
- Ability to run day-to-day studies with general study operations.
- Basic QA knowledge.
Pay Range: $20-$22 per hour.
Skills and KnowledgeWorking knowledge of research lab equipment and support processes. Skills in data organization, statistical analysis, and use of statistical and scientific computer applications are required.

Employment DetailsThis is a 12‑month, limited‑term position subject to the availability of funding thereafter. All employment and assignments are ultimately contingent upon available funding, business needs, and performance of the assignment. Georgia Tech retains the right to terminate this assignment at any time for cause or convenience; in either case, Georgia Tech’s obligation shall be limited to payment for hours and/or days worked prior to the termination date.
