• Conduct experiments and research activities according to established protocols and methodologies to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collected.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring that all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Collect, record, and analyze data meticulously, using appropriate software and statistical methods.
• Assist in the preparation of research materials, including reagents, samples, and solutions, following precise formulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation, including experiment logs, inventory lists, and safety compliance reports.
• Participate in training sessions for new laboratory personnel, providing guidance on equipment usage, safety procedures, and research protocols.
• Monitor laboratory safety practices by conducting routine inspections and ensuring compliance with institutional safety regulations and guidelines.
• Stay current on advancements in research techniques and technologies by engaging in professional development opportunities and attending relevant workshops or conferences.
• Collaborate with principal investigators and other research team members to develop project plans and timelines, ensuring that milestones are met.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational school diploma/degree.
• No prior relevant work experience required.

Preferred:

• Molecular biology
• Cell culture
• Histology
• Stereotactic injection
• Mouse husbandry

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of processes for the assigned work.
• Ability to learn new information and tasks.
• Can perform standard tasks.

$30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
