Research Specialist, Pharmacology

• Perform defined research and laboratory tests and experiments under general supervision
• Set up experiments according to principal investigator instructions
• Participate in laboratory maintenance, including sterilization, equipment cleaning, supply ordering, inventory, and media preparation
• Maintain records, files, and logs in laboratory notebooks and computer databases
• Compile study data and results for publications, grants, and seminar presentations
• Perform related responsibilities as required by the principal investigator

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
• Ability to perform laboratory research and tests according to prescribed protocols
• Employees may be required to work with, take precautions against, and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents

Demonstrates expertise in laboratory research and testing, adhering to prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate records and data compilation for research purposes. Proficient in laboratory maintenance and safety practices, including handling hazardous agents.
