- Manage administrative and research activities supporting a specialized program or research center
- Develop plans for program growth and development and serve as liaison to committees or organizations
- Plan, coordinate, and implement special events, lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects
- Develop program communications including websites, publications, multimedia, video productions, and social media
- Coordinate day-to-day research project activities, including administrative tasks, participant recruitment, data collection, and participant compensation
- Track study timelines and monitor milestones
- Prepare and compile progress reports for IPRCE and funding agencies
- Monitor and track grant expenditures
- Manage human subjects protections, including IRB submissions, approvals, and ongoing compliance
- Build and manage the REDCap database with the biostatistics team
- Oversee data entry, quality assurance, and data cleaning
- Hire, train, and supervise research staff
- Collaborate with Co-PIs and the Community Advisory Board to ensure research relevance and community translation
- Liaise with external partners
- Assist in preparing conference abstracts, manuscripts, and reports for participants and stakeholders
- Perform additional related responsibilities as needed
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management
- Program or project management experience strongly preferred
- Masters degree preferred
- Interest in mental health and community based participatory research
- Demonstrated research project and program management skills
- Strong written and oral communications
- Familiarity with human subject issues, research compliance, protected health information data requests, and Institutional Review Board approval processes
- Some experience working with database and statistical software
- Ability to perform position tasks generally in person at an Emory University location
