The Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development within Georgia State University’s School of Public Health is dedicated to advancing research that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children, families, and communities. Through innovative research, community partnerships, and evidence-based interventions, the Centers work to address critical public health challenges and improve outcomes across diverse populations.

The Alcohol and Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) Lab is seeking a Research Coordinator II (Sponsor Funded) to support and expand its research initiatives focused on alcohol use and sexual assault prevention. This position will contribute to all aspects of research project coordination and implementation, helping advance the lab’s mission and contributions to the field.

• Coordinate and oversee research projects to ensure project goals, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Lead project planning activities, participant recruitment and retention efforts, data collection, participant compensation, and communication with study participants and research team members.
• Supervise project workflows and coordinate activities among faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders.
• Train and provide guidance to research staff and students on research protocols, administrative procedures, and project-related activities.
• Conduct literature reviews, assist with data analysis, and support the preparation of scientific manuscripts, presentations, and reports.
• Lead project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, documentation of minutes, and follow-up on action items.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and develop solutions to support successful project outcomes.
• Manage project-related administrative activities, including grant documentation, contracts, reports, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor project deadlines and ensure research team members remain informed of upcoming responsibilities and deliverables.
• Coordinate procurement of project supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a related research field; or a combination of education and related experience.
