Barcelona Wine Bar is seeking a Server for our dining team.

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional service, taking orders, and delivering food to restaurant guests. Servers answer menu questions, coordinate with wait staff and kitchen, offer suggestions and recommendations, and are expected to go above and beyond for every guest.

• Direct guests to their seats and present the menu
• Recommend menu items, including wine pairings
• Collaborate with back server to meet guest needs
• Enter orders into Micros and process payments
• Check  ensure guests meet minimum age requirements for alcohol
• Maintain tables through pre-bussing, marking, and clearing with correct procedure
• Check with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
• Attend to every need of the guest
• Reset tables with plates, napkins, glasses, and silverware before service
• Set up food stations for the next shift or large parties
• Assist host with phone calls, take call‑ahead or to‑go orders, greet, seat, and thank guests
• Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
• Adapt to a fast‑paced work environment

• Solid knowledge of the menu and culture of the restaurant
• Basic English reading and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of Micros POS system—entering orders, processing payments
• Task prioritization to maintain tables
• Avid team player

• Stand on your feet for the entirety of a scheduled shift
• Strong customer‑service skills with an “above and beyond” attitude
• Work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Willingness to learn a new craft and adapt to a fun culture
• Prior restaurant experience not required
• TIPs certification – CT/NY/MA/VA/FL markets
• ABC certification – TN Market
