The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer‑focused, top‑line sales driven, profitable, and productive store location. The Assistant Store Manager must inspire and motivate others by exhibiting core value behaviors—including a customer‑focused selling culture—and ensuring the execution of the store’s KPIs. Assistant Managers also hold store employees accountable for following all policies and procedures.

• Displays a customer‑focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience.
• Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempts to “solve for yes,” and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Maintains a clean and well‑organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experience.
• Shares feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience.
• Performs as the floor supervisor as needed to cover non‑peak periods.
• Coaches and provides feedback on Sales Associate performance.
• Supports associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
• Provides direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards.
• Prioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all operational needs.
• Supports and executes visual directives and maintains visual standards set by the company.
• Drives efficiency in all operational store processes.
• Maintains merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
• Ensures all store associates follow all policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
• Reflects the Pac Sun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Demonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn what is unknown about product, brands, fashion, and trends.

• Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in math and strong computer skills.

• Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; set the example for leaders and associates.
• Develop and nurture strong cross‑functional partnerships; drive business results and inspire a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
• Serve as a Pacsun advocate in the industry and marketplace.
• Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence.
• As a manager, serve as a leader of company culture, norms, and conduct.
• Balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting associate feedback and interaction.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Frequently sit/stand for long periods of time and climb ladders as needed.
• Regularly required to talk or hear; sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach, twist, or squat.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required for SM and above roles only.

This is a full‑time position requiring 32–40 hours a week. As a national retailer, flexibility with work schedule—including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods—is required.
