Position: 2192 - Assistant Store Manager PT

Position Summary

Assistant Store Manager – responsible for leading store operations, fostering a customer‑focused environment, and ensuring high performance and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities People & Training
  • Act as Manager on duty for scheduling, customer complaints, and other operational issues.
  • Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow‑up.
  • Administer progressive discipline, including verbal and written warnings.
  • Engage team members in a fun, productive environment and link their work to company objectives.
  • Maintain respectful, inclusive workplace and adhere to brand standards.
  • Schedule staff and manage staffing during peak periods.
  • Assist in recruiting and training new personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and inventory controls.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Customer Experience
  • Lead and execute sales strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
  • Resolve customer feedback and escalations, ensuring “make it right” outcomes.
  • Promote membership programs and in‑store offers to customers.
  • Follow visual merchandising guidelines for store presentation.
  • Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
Operations
  • Implement company directives, promotions, and initiatives.
  • Adhere to Policies & Procedures Manual for safety and compliance.
  • Maintain store technology (MPOS, Lids Custom, etc.) and equipment.
  • Handle facility, supply, and service requests, including maintenance.
  • Manage cash – opening, closing, counterfeit protection, bank drops.
  • Prepare the store for inventory audits and assist as needed.
  • Open and close the store following Operations procedures.
Product & Inventory Management
  • Protect assets in line with LIDS Retail policies.
  • Prepare store work schedules within wage control guidelines.
  • Manage inventory: receiving, transferring, price changes, and counts.
  • Organize backroom to maximize efficiency.
  • Execute visual merchandising and special pricing per strategy.
  • Maintain daily visual merchandising, restock, destock, and minor VM changes.
  • Adjust special pricing signage and promotional presentations.
Qualifications Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently without supervision.
