Position Overview
The Retail Sales Associate will primarily serve on the sales floor and cash wrap, generating revenue through merchandise selling skills. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests, stocking, staging, and transporting merchandise to the sales floor, conducting cycle counts and ticketing, maintaining visual standards, and handling cash. The role requires teamwork, minimal supervision, and a flexible schedule.

Candidates must have open availability to work 3–4 days on weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Shifts vary between 6:00 am and midnight, depending on business needs, and may run as late as midnight for corporate events.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and ensure a welcoming, guest‑friendly environment.
- Greet guests and provide them with purchasing options based on their needs, demonstrating knowledge of merchandise and the company.
- Participate in the bi‑annual inventory process.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current products, pricing, and promotions.
- Manage financial transactions and purchases accurately using a POS system.
- Present guests with product promotions and sale opportunities as identified through engagement.
- Develop and implement cross‑selling strategies for appropriate products.
- Assist guests with returns and exchanges.
- Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and procedures.
- Effective communication with guests, peers, and management.
- Ability to use a two‑way radio with proper etiquette.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Constant moving, talking, listening, reaching, and standing.
- Stand for at least two consecutive hours.
- Lift at least 50 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, bending, crouching, walking, climbing, lifting, and repetitive motion.
- Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Function effectively as part of a team in a high‑volume guest environment.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Basic math skills.
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with guests.
- Possess a thirst for learning.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic high school math level skills.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly without accommodation.
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
