Our client, a fast-growing, YC-backed life sciences B2B company, is hiring SMB/Mid-Market Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to drive outbound pipeline generation and accelerate revenue growth.
This is a high-volume outbound role designed for coachable, competitive candidates who want to build a long‑term career in sales within a structured, performance‑driven environment.
Compensation- Base Salary: $55,000–$60,000 USD (or $50,000–$58,000 CAD depending on location)
- Commission: 40% uncapped
- OTE: $77,000–$84,000 USD (or $70,000–$81,200 CAD)
This role is fully remote
, but candidates must be located within one of the approved regions and willing to work EST hours

Toronto (option to work in‑office), Boston, DMV (DC/MD/VA), Raleigh‑Durham, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Austin, Pittsburgh, or Canada (excluding PST).
What Youll Do- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting (
80–90 cold calls per day
) using a power dialer - Research target accounts, identify stakeholders, and build outbound strategies with Account Executives
- Generate qualified pipeline by booking meetings with cold prospects
- Learn and confidently pitch the platforms value proposition
- Conduct initial discovery conversations and qualify opportunities
- Maintain consistent follow‑up cadence via phone and email
- 0–3 years of experience in outbound B2B sales, business development, or customer‑facing roles
- 8+ months of BDR/sales experience preferred
, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments - Majority of current role focused on outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
- Strong communication skills (verbal + written)
- High coachability, curiosity, and competitiveness
- Stable work history with performance progression
- Must be recently employed (no recent performance‑based terminations)
Candidates with sales experience:
- 1–3 years in outbound B2B SaaS or tech sales
- Proven ability to hit quota/KPIs
- Interested in mastering the BDR role (not rushing into AE immediately)
Candidates early in their sales career:
- Degree or academic background in biology, healthcare, or science (strong plus)
- Experience in customer‑facing, research, coordination, sourcing, or professional internship/co‑op roles
- YC-backed company with strong investor support
- 100% of the sales team hits quota (top performers at 200%)
- Clear growth path to Enterprise BDR and AE within ~12 months
- Uncapped commission and high earning potential
