The Opportunity
We are hiring a Senior Sales & Market Development Representative based in Atlanta to own and build our presence in the region. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a fast-growing brand. You will be responsible for growing our distributor relationships, opening new accounts, driving velocity in existing accounts, and building the NDO footprint in one of our highest-priority expansion markets.
Atlanta is a top-priority expansion market for NDO. General Wholesale provides statewide Georgia coverage with deep on-premise and off-premise reach. Atlanta’s hospitality scene – Buckhead, Midtown, Westside, and the growing Beltline corridor – is packed with premium accounts that align perfectly with our brand. This role starts with Georgia and has a clear path to overseeing the broader Southeast as we scale.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, sampling, closing, and account management across on-premise (bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs, gyms) and off-premise (retail, convenience, specialty grocery) channels
- Build and maintain relationships with distributor sales teams – ride-alongs, joint calls, route driver education, and weekly status updates
- Conduct 15–25 account visits per day, five days a week, with structured pre-visit preparation and post-visit documentation
- Leverage AI tools for real-time follow-up emails, account tracking, deal progression analysis, and daily reporting to leadership
- Execute brand activations: sampling events, POS placement, staff education, and local event partnerships
- Develop and manage relationships with university NIL programs, local sports teams, and community organizations
- Identify and pursue multi-unit operators and venue groups for scaled account acquisition
- Provide weekly market intelligence reports including competitor activity, pricing trends, and account feedback
- Coordinate with marketing team on local content creation, social media activations, and influencer partnerships
- Recruit, train, and manage part-time sales interns in local college markets as the team scales
- 3+ years in beverage, CPG, or hospitality sales with a proven track record of opening new accounts and growing territory revenue
- Deep understanding of distributor-based selling (DSD) – you know how to work with route drivers, chain buyers, and distributor management
- On-premise expertise: you understand the bar/restaurant world, how beverage decisions get made, and how to position premium products
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy – you don’t need someone managing your calendar; you manage yourself and produce results
- Comfortable using technology to maximize efficiency – AI tools, CRM systems, Google Workspace, and mobile-first workflows
- Strong communicator who can sell to a bartender at 2pm and present to a corporate beverage director at 4pm
- Existing relationships in the Atlanta hospitality, fitness, or beverage industry are a significant plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation – this is a field-first role
This role offers a competitive base salary plus commission on new account revenue and volume growth. Performance bonuses are tied to account acquisition and velocity targets. As NDO continues its rapid expansion, this role has a clear path to Regional Sales Director overseeing multiple states and managing a team of reps and interns.
