Role Summary

The Account Executive is a senior, client‑facing sales leader responsible for generating new business and growing key client relationships within the custom fabrication, experiential, scenic, and themed environments industry. This role requires a professional who understands how custom fabrication actually works—materials, labor, estimating, timelines, and execution—and can confidently translate client vision into executable, profitable scope. This is not a general sales role.

Success in this position depends on the ability to sell fabrication intelligently, protect margins, and partner closely with estimating, production, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
  • Actively identify, pursue, and secure new business aligned with ID3’s capabilities
  • Leverage industry relationships, referrals, and networking to generate leads
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and proposal discussions
  • Represent ID3 at industry events, site visits, and client engagements
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales on growth strategy and opportunity prioritization
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned key accounts
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with clients and partners
  • Identify upsell and repeat‑business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Ensure a high‑touch, professional client experience from pursuit through handoff
Estimating & Pre‑Construction Collaboration
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of custom fabrication estimating
  • Partner with estimating and production teams to:
  • Accurately scope projects
  • Validate budgets, timelines, and assumptions
  • Align client expectations with operational realities
  • Review estimates for feasibility, clarity, and margin integrity
  • Clearly communicate scope, constraints, and assumptions to clients
Internal Collaboration & Handoff
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Fabrication, Scenic, Paint, and Install teams
  • Support smooth handoffs from sales to execution
  • Address client concerns quickly while protecting company interests
  • Advocate for solutions that balance client satisfaction with operational success
Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is not suited for general sales professionals without fabrication or production experience.

Required Experience & Knowledge
  • 5+ years’ experience in custom fabrication, scenic, experiential, exhibits, or themed environments
  • Demonstrated success in business development and revenue generation
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Custom fabrication workflows
  • Materials, labor, and production constraints
  • Estimating fundamentals and pricing strategy
  • Experience working with sophisticated clients (hospitality, entertainment, experiential brands)
  • Proven ability to build trust with both clients and internal teams
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting hospitality, theme park, entertainment, or experiential clients
  • Background working closely with estimating and production teams
  • Familiarity with large‑scale, multi-disciplinary fabrication projects
