Business Development Manager – Hybrid – Atlanta
Travelport is the brains behind many of the travel bookings you make—plane, car, or hotel. We simplify the technical part of travel to make booking a magical holiday, a bucket‑list trip, or a school reunion easier. We are hiring a Business Development Manager to help us drive growth across our Americas operations.
About the RoleThe Business Development Manager, Americas supports new business growth across the US, Canada, and Latin America. This role involves prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and supporting the sales pipeline. It is an individual contributor aimed at those early in their commercial career who want to develop consultative sales skills within a global, matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support outbound and inbound business development activities, including prospecting, lead qualification, and initial outreach across assigned territories.
- Assist in managing early stages of the sales cycle, including discovery calls, needs assessment, and meeting coordination.
- Research target accounts, travel agencies, and decision‑makers to support personalized and relevant outreach.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), including account notes, activity tracking, and opportunity stages.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategies.
- Support pipeline tracking and reporting by ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Participate in ongoing training to build knowledge of Travelport’s products, competitive landscape, and travel industry trends.
- Assist senior team members with follow‑ups, proposals, and post‑meeting actions as needed.
- 1–2 years of experience in a sales, business development, customer‑facing, or commercial support role (B2B SaaS or travel industry exposure is a plus).
- Comfortable with outreach activities such as emails, calls, and virtual meetings.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Oracle, or similar systems (hands‑on or academic exposure acceptable).
- Motivated, coachable, and eager to develop a career in sales or business development.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to learn how to qualify opportunities and understand customer needs.

Target Salary Range: $65,000 – $72,000 USD annually + commission
. This range includes base salary plus variable incentive and will be finalized based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
