Who you are

Geotab is seeking a Business Development Manager who will drive direct and indirect revenue growth within Geotab’s Enterprise Accounts by leading complex and consultative sales and pursuit strategies focused specifically on the transportation and logistics segment.

What you'll do

As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing an assigned list of new enterprise customer acquisition sales opportunities and building strategies to generate new ARR within the transportation and logistics segment.
  • Documenting all selling strategies, engagements, and activities within Salesloft and SFDC to enable effective revenue forecasting and meet forecast accuracy metrics.
  • Qualifying opportunities for quota retirement and identifying, engaging, and supporting new channel partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Initiating, leading, and managing contract development activities as required for assigned opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the Business Segment team and other cross‑departmental stakeholders (Revenue Operations, Partner Account Managers) to align sales activities with broader segment strategies.
  • Assisting with the RFX process for relevant opportunities and developing a deep knowledge base of the telematics and fleet management industry.
  • Maintaining awareness of trends, competitive landscape, and building relationships through trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
  • Providing input on new business opportunities, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment, and collaborating with leadership to develop long‑term strategic revenue plans and forecasts.
What you'll bring to the role
  • 5–8 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Customer Development, Account Management, or related fields.
  • 4–8 years in the Transportation and Logistics industry, with 3–5 years of Enterprise Sales experience and prior SaaS Sales experience.
  • Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or an equivalent education and work experience combination.
  • Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts within the telematics or fleet management industry.
  • Strong aptitude with Salesloft and SFDC, and the ability to leverage AI capabilities to augment selling activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management.
  • Ability to anticipate and understand customer needs, provide viable solutions, and think strategically to identify key decision‑makers.
  • Flexibility to work remotely across time zones and ability to travel frequently (up to 60%) internationally; a valid passport required.
