The Regional Sales Manager drives outside sales activity, revenue growth, and brand expansion across the Southeast territory for Core Linc, a fiber optic connectivity and services specialist serving the data center and broadband communications markets. Now part of Tini Fiber, Core Linc delivers end-to-end fiber connectivity (contract manufacturing, kitting, design and engineering, and supply chain support) for large-scale network deployments. This position is responsible for executing strategic sales initiatives, developing strong relationships with distributors, contractors, and end-users, and growing the company’s presence across broadband and outside plant (OSP) projects throughout the region.
The role requires a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional with the ability to influence key decision-makers, communicate effectively across all levels, and report sales activity and insights both internally and externally
Outside plant (OSP) fiber, broadband, and connectivity experience is highly preferred, along with a strong understanding of end user, telco, & distribution business with a focus on project-based sales.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Territory Exec- Drive outside sales activity by developing and executing Southeast territory sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets through proactive engagement with key accounts, distributors, and end-users.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and relationship building across the broadband and OSP fiber space.
- Leverage CRM and sales analytics tools to monitor KPIs, territory performance, and pipeline health.
- Provide regular sales forecasting and performance reporting to leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and key decision-makers within contractor and end-user organizations.
- Target distributors, contractors, network operators, and other channels active in the broadband and fiber connectivity market.
- Deliver product training and sales enablement support to distributor sales teams to ensure proper representation of the Core Linc brand.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including inside sales, customer support, and operations, to ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
- Actively pursue specification opportunities by engaging engineers, consultants, and project managers on broadband and OSP fiber deployments.
- Drive the inclusion of Core Linc connectivity solutions in design documents, bid packages, and project scopes.
- Track specification activity and report on wins, conversions, and opportunities to improve market penetration.
- Recommend product enhancements and new solution ideas based on customer feedback and market needs.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and make strategic pricing recommendations to support sales growth and profitability.
- Use value-based selling techniques to articulate the total cost of ownership advantages of Core Linc solutions.
- Support the growth of partner programs designed to incentivize distributor and agent performance.
- Recruit, train, and manage manufacturers’ representatives, providing performance oversight through regular territory reviews.
- Utilize CRM data to assess agent effectiveness, identify gaps, and implement improvement strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in OSP fiber, broadband, fiber optics, or fiber connectivity.
- Strong understanding of the broadband and outside plant (OSP) market and the distribution channels that serve it.
- Proven success in developing and executing regional sales plans with measurable growth results.
- Strong experience with channel sales and distributor management.
- Ability to influence engineers, consultants, and key stakeholders in the specification and design process.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present, negotiate, and build trust across all levels.
- High proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce) and sales reporting platforms.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze sales data and trends to drive action.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast region to maintain an active presence in the field.
