Position Summary

Seeking a self-starter who relishes a challenge to work as a Business Development/Account Executive Intern. Must be willing and able to help a rapidly growing small company instill effectiveness and discipline into key sales and marketing processes. The intern must be able to work a flexible schedule of 10 hours a week, and who enjoys the behind the scenes work of the spa & wellness industry.

We are seeking new hospitality clients in major markets. We are willing to work with any level college student and professional interested in a career in Marketing; previous sales experience a plus but not required. The internship offers a commission and bonus structure based on sales
, and there are many opportunities to receive excellent practical experience. The intern must be an effective communicator (both written and verbal). Proficiency in Excel, web-based research, social media, basic understanding of consumer marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Research target hospitality/hotel clients in North America (i.e. who they work with and opportunities for Spa Partnership)
  • Research potential partnerships with convention/meeting planners for corporate wellness programs
  • Cold calling and lead development/generation
  • Client follow up and account management
  • Create and administer a weekly/monthly e‑mail tailored to address potential clients. Draft message on behalf of our company to present our spa and wellness offerings
Marketing
  • Create suitable promotional materials and marketing strategy
  • Design a simple process "campaign" to contact targets in a professional and methodical manner
  • Register the results to funnel the targets into further actions, ranging from "do not call" to "send samples/take order" etc. enabling other staff to pick‑up the latter steps
  • Contact by phone, email, and letter to introduce our brand and follow up with the previous interaction with different boutiques
  • Deliver marketing information to prospective clients in person
  • Create a marketing call list and follow‑up communication plan
  • Assisting in devising a new marketing campaign
  • Sending information to various media
  • Social media website upkeep

Standard Intern Requirements
  • Daily phone updates the 1st week (on working days)
  • Daily updates via phone, email or Voxer after the 1st week (on working days) along with weekly email report updates
  • Internships are primarily (80-100%) virtual with the exception of weekly or occasional meetings, special projects, marketing & sales meetings and company events for local interns
  • Interns are 100% responsible for calling in at their agreed upon start time for their scheduled work days. Calling in is considered showing up for work, not checking in is considered not showing up for work
Evaluations & Coaching

There will be evaluations provided to offer business coaching, feedback and professional development after 9 months.
