Applied Systems Branch Sales Manager – Marietta, GA (In office)
Daikin Applied is seeking an experienced Applied Systems Branch Sales Manager to drive business growth and lead a high‑performing sales team.
Responsibilities- Partner with the General Manager to establish a five‑year business plan, including ARI share growth, market segment focus, product mix expectations, value‑based propositions, and long‑term investment strategies.
- Determine gross margin expectations for the office and provide direction to achieve those margins.
- Lead sales efforts through sales engineers, ensuring pipeline, backlog, and opportunity management are maintained using effective CRM practices.
- Assess product needs of the marketplace and collaborate with Marketing to develop product plans; secure representation of ancillary products that complement existing selling efforts.
- Drive strategies for selling activities by executing assigned job captain responsibilities and coaching sales staff on skill application to maximize closing probability.
- Schedule, lead, and participate in regular sales meetings that promote open communication, bidding strategies, and tactical theories to increase team success.
- Coach, mentor, and develop all sales engineers through performance management and development plans to encourage employee growth.
- Partner with the General Manager and HR to manage performance expectations of all sales personnel in an environment that promotes professional success.
- Educate and influence architects and consultants on the value of Daikin Applied for Green/LEED projects, positioning the company as an environmentally responsible manufacturer.
- Provide market and competitor intelligence through data collection, team analysis, and continual assessment of territory and account potential.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of related sales engineering experience.
- 8+ years of people leadership experience with sales management in a commercial HVAC environment.
- Experience working with engineering consultants and basis of design.
- Master’s Degree or MBA (Preferred).
- LEED, environmental, or “green” experience (Preferred).
- Non‑decaled company vehicle with most expenses paid.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,100 to $221,900 plus a targeted sales incentive plan in Georgia. Individual base pay will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
