Architecture and Portfolio Sales Specialist for Zone Americas-Digital Industries

This role focuses on driving adoption of new technologies, engaging key stakeholders across the Americas, and supporting the sales organization by delivering technical expertise, portfolio insights, and market intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Market and Customer Engagement
    • Represent DI to key regional market stakeholders at trade fairs, conferences, and through digital platforms.
    • Engage with high-priority customers during bid processes.
    • Introduce new technologies and DI AUT offerings into the sales organization.
    • Support sales acceleration with expertise in bid processes for major projects.
    • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify new business opportunities.
    • Provide input for new feature business cases.
    • Own the technology vision for assigned TPEs and identify business potential.
    • Drive technical sales strategies with technical sales teams.
    • Lead technical aspects of deal structuring and closure.
  • Empower sales teams by providing key technical insights and sales narratives.
  • Define and communicate a customer value proposition from a technical perspective for assigned TPEs.
  • Drive MC product portfolio go-to-market initiatives in close cooperation with LCBs, Sales Acceleration, and Channels.
  • Provide technical expertise on portfolio selection, fit, and support both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure seamless handover to delivery teams and facilitate customer onboarding, adoption, and satisfaction to drive long-term retention and growth.
  • Provide feedback to portfolio development teams based on market requirements and customer insights.
  • Advocate for technology and service adoption at executive levels to support long-term business transformation initiatives.
  • Roll out focus initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Rich knowledge of responsible SIEMENS products or comparable competitor products.
    • Solid technical background with hands‑on engineering experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • At least 3 years of sales management experience and a minimum of 5 years in industry automation, especially in drive and servo systems.
    • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
    • Structured & analytical approach to analyze status, propose measures, implement, and follow‑up.
    • Team‑work spirit.
