Get your foot in the door to the software sales industry as a Business Development Representative (BDR) ry day, you’ll take to the phones connecting with mid‑to‑large sized businesses teaching them how Sage can help run their business better.
This hybrid position requires commuting to the Atlanta (Ponce City Market) office 3 days.
Represent software that wins:
Sage’s flagship manufacturing solution, Sage X3, is sold to mid‑market and enterprise‑level companies. Our products are designed with the customer in mind, making accounting, finance, and operations tasks easy and freeing up time for businesses to grow.
- Weeks 1‑3:
Join other new SDRs/BDRs in an onboarding class that teaches you about systems, competitive landscapes, and how to sell Sage. - Week 4:
Witness what you learned in weeks 1‑3 by shadowing other BDRs. - Weeks 5‑12:
Ramp‑up period with the support of your manager and team, progressing toward full independence.
Your goal is to create sales opportunities for Account Executives. You’ll find prospects, secure meetings with them, and teach them about Sage. After that, the Account Executive takes over.
Growth OpportunitiesSDRs typically grow into Account Executive, Customer Account Management, Sales Operations/Management, or marketing roles. Our global sales team welcomes internal promotion.
Qualifications- 1+ years of sales or professional experience
- BA degree or equivalent experience
- Experience using BANT to qualify prospects
- Experience handling objections
- Intermediate level experience using a CRM, Sales Engagement Tools, and List‑Building Tools (additional tools are a bonus)
- Heavy cold‑calling experience
- Passion for mid‑enterprise level businesses and a desire to help them thrive
- People consider you a great storyteller—clear and concise communication skills
- Current U.S. work authorization (this role is not open to visa sponsorship)
