Summary
Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Meet dealership sales goals.
- Greet customers and determine make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
- Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicle in showroom or on a demonstration drive.
- Suggest optional equipment for customer to purchase.
- Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and discount.
- Complete paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including sales slip or sales contract.
- Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicle.
- Research availability of models and optional equipment.
- Engage in business development.
- Address customer concerns.
- Maintain CSI at or above company standards.
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Participate in required training.
- Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
- Follow safeguards rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate the company’s core values.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Observe all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in performance of duties.
- Education:
- GED or high school diploma.
- Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree (field of study not required).

Work Experience:
Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or Accounting. - Desired
Work Experience:- Up to 3 years.
- 3-5 years.
- 5+ years.
- Prior experience: Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Automobile salesperson license (preferred).
- Computer
Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products; intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management. - Communication
Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions; communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. - Attendance Requirements: Regular and predictable attendance; scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Perform frequent movement around company facilities and outdoor car lot.
- Potential exposure to varied weather conditions during test drives.
