Job Overview

Senior Account Manager – Commercial Lines

As a member of the Commercial Lines team, you will exercise independent decisions regarding client coverage analysis, recommend coverage needs and suggest new lines of coverage for existing clients. You will serve as a leader and resource, providing exceptional client service, mentoring peers, and supporting Producer and Marketing Account Executives in managing larger or more complex accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze client coverage and make independent decisions.
  • Recommend coverage needs and new lines of coverage.
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients.
  • Stay knowledgeable of coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes.
  • Serve as a leader and mentor to colleagues.
  • Support producers and marketing account executives on larger or complex accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Life and health insurance license.
  • Strong client relations skills to build and maintain positive business relationships; excellent communication, service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems.
  • Leadership skills to provide direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while motivating others.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Additional qualifications (plus)
  • Advanced degree.
  • Certification or designation.
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal.
