PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities through contact with prospective clients in the assigned market and cross‑sell new services to existing clients.
- Identify market trends and competitive rate actions and communicate those trends to the product and management teams.
- Create and maintain a client lifecycle program for the top clients, building a solid understanding of target customers and their account base.
- Assist and facilitate the preparation of RFQs and bids.
- Identify the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and make recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide weekly and monthly performance metrics to the sales administrator.
- Understand pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutions.
- Perform other duties including sales presentations, developing deliverables, coordinating implementation, and adding to existing marketing materials where appropriate.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for clients into Toll CRM and maintain this information per company policy.
- Meet specific volume and revenue requirements for each product in the Toll portfolio as designated by the SVP, Sales.
- Manage time and sales territory to reach the desired number of sales calls (10) on a weekly basis, ensuring maximum Toll exposure to the market.
- Ensure effective and timely response to all sales leads/key correspondence within identified timelines.
- Manage expenses and other company assets in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Comply with the Toll Global Forwarding Business Improvement Programme Quality, Risk and Human Resource Reference Manuals, the Toll Workplace Standards and Code of Conduct, and the GF Employee Handbook.
This position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Must be able to travel.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to perform repetitive motions.
Ability to occasionally move inside the office.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to move or position self to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch.
Ability to read PC screens; detect color coding, read fine print, and normal type size print.
Travel RequirementTravel required (50% by car and 5% by air).
Job Requirements- Essential
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Sales/Business Development.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Global Forwarding operations and market intelligence.

- Technical Skills
- Windows Operating System.
- MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access).
- Working knowledge of Air & Ocean Freight operations, including Basic IATA Knowledge, FAA & TSA Regulations, Export Regulations / AES, FMC Compliance Requirements.
- Understanding of US Customs / Import Requirements.
