Job Overview
Field‑based position in Braselton, GA. Territory includes Athens, Gainesville, Johns Creek and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities- Partner closely with Sales Representatives in the area to learn about the medical device industry and Upper Extremities business, and contribute to the growth of that business in the assigned territory.
- Assist in all aspects of the sales call pattern, including covering cases, marketing and promotion of products in assigned accounts, building sets, managing inventory, and converting customers to Stryker as experience grows.
- Attend surgeries involving Stryker Upper Extremities products to ensure all products are available and to instruct surgeons on product use and functionality.
- Educate and inform doctors, nurses and other staff about proper use, maintenance, functionality, updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs for Stryker products.
- Collaborate with sales teams to contact customers, identify sales opportunities, deliver excellent customer service, and further develop customer relationships.
- Identify the needs of new prospects with the assigned Sales Representative and develop appropriate responses.
- After extensive product training, tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, answer customer questions about product functionality and differentiate Stryker products from competitors.
- Perform field calls for the assigned accounts and territory.
- Assist in implementation of new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively.
- Partner with the Sales Representative and organization to meet and exceed business targets (quotas).
- Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representative(s).
- Acquire a basic understanding of regulatory compliance issues and adhere to these guidelines.
- Assist in resolving any problems or questions that arise in accounts.
- Partner on inventory management and build proper inventory levels and sets to meet customer needs.
- Assist and partner with Sales Representative(s) in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders for proper invoicing.
- Maintain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
- Market the product line to customers based on functionality, features, and factors that differentiate Stryker’s Upper Extremities products from competitors.
- Stay current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
- Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours.
- Adhere to compliance and principles of responsibility (Adva Med), maintaining privacy and confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non‑compliance, and following applicable laws and regulations and Company’s policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Medical Certification (CST, PT, CPT, etc.) plus at least 2 years of professional or related experience.
- High School Diploma plus at least 4 years of professional or related experience.
- 4+ years of active duty military service.
- At least 1 year of clinical or sales experience.
- Self‑motivated and driven.
- Base Salary
: $65,000, with eligibility for commission and/or bonuses. - Benefits package.
- Travel: 40% of time.
