Overview
The Account Executive meets and exceeds local and national sales goals by selling our inventory to qualified advertisers. This role focuses on developing new business through direct-to-customer outreach and high-level agency contacts, and maintaining long-term advertising relationships by presenting compelling proposals and pricing in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams across digital and printed inventory.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue goal attainment on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prospect and develop new customer relationships, communicating strategies for meeting customer needs.
- Conduct outside sales activities, including obtaining orders and/or contracts for Clear Channel services, while away from the company’s offices.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with creative, operations, marketing, and finance staff.
- Determine project pricing based on management guidelines and negotiate fees or services with client approval.
- Oversee projects from start to finish and deliver proofs of performance to clients.
- Accompany clients on market tours to showcase outdoor inventory.
- Communicate and coordinate with Ad Ops and other internal departments.
- Complete other duties as assigned or requested.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience preferred. - Work Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or relevant work experience required; five (5) or more years of sales experience preferred; demonstrated B2B and progressive sales experience preferred. - Knowledge of territory is preferred.
- Strong client relationship development and account growth capabilities.
- Sales achievement with consultative or needs-based selling techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
- Account Management: building long-term, value-based relationships and maximizing revenue while controlling costs.
- Communication: clear, respectful communication with diverse audiences.
- Initiative: proactive and persistent problem-solving and opportunity seizing.
- Managing the Sales Process: adherence to the organization's sales methodology.
- Negotiating: resolving differing perspectives to mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Networking: building and maintaining professional contacts.
- Presentation: delivering effective presentations and managing related logistics.
The employer requires attendance at weekly/monthly meetings. This role involves office and field work, including sales calls and servicing existing accounts. Ability to lift and move items up to 15 pounds and to see written documents and computer screens is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Other RequirementsAbility to travel outside of the office at least 50% of the time for meetings and industry events. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
