Sales Consultant

Paychex seeks a Sales Consultant to drive new business growth for our payroll, HR, and insurance solutions in the finance and insurance space. In this client-facing role, you'll prospect and qualify leads, run consultative sales meetings, and tailor solutions that address complex HR, benefits, and compliance needs for small and midsize businesses. You'll manage the full sales cycle, meet or exceed sales targets, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and high client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new small and midsize business clients for Paychex payroll, HR, and insurance solutions
• Conduct consultative sales meetings to assess client needs and recommend tailored finance and insurance products
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to decision-makers and influencers
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and consistent follow-up activities
• Collaborate with internal HR, benefits, and technology teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and performance metrics
• Stay current on payroll, HR, benefits, and compliance trends impacting small and midsize businesses
• Provide ongoing account support and identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell
• Represent Paychex at local networking, industry, and community events
