Director of Sales, Business Development
Our client is a fast-growing provider of warehouse automation, robotics, and intralogistics solutions, helping organizations modernize their operations through innovative technologies that improve efficiency, scalability, and productivity.
As part of its continued expansion, the business is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead commercial strategy and drive revenue growth across North America. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing market strategy, building and mentoring high-performing sales teams, and establishing long-term customer relationships with leading organizations in distribution, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and third-party logistics.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's North American sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, industry verticals, and strategic partnerships.
- Create and implement commercial plans that support long-term business expansion.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to influence business strategy and product positioning.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with company objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centric selling.
- Support team members through complex sales negotiations and strategic account development.
Business Development
- Build relationships with executive-level stakeholders across target industries.
- Drive engagement with major accounts and strategic opportunities.
- Lead complex, solution-based sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and solutions teams to develop compelling customer proposals.
Revenue Growth & Forecasting
- Maintain responsibility for pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and revenue performance.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure efficient CRM management and reporting processes.
- Contribute to budgeting and broader business planning activities.
Industry Representation
- Act as a brand ambassador within the warehouse automation and intralogistics market.
- Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, customer events, and industry forums.
- Strengthen the company's market presence and industry reputation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive sales experience within warehouse automation, robotics, intralogistics, material handling, or industrial technology sectors.
- Proven success leading sales teams and delivering significant revenue growth.
- Strong experience developing and implementing commercial strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex solution sales cycles.
- Experience engaging with senior executives and key decision-makers.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout North America as required.
Experience with in one or more of the following areas:
- Warehouse automation solutions
- Robotics and AS/RS
- Goods-to-person technologies
- Conveyor and sortation solutions
- Warehouse software platforms
- Distribution and fulfillment technologies
A strong network within logistics, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and supply chain operations will be highly advantageous.
