Senior Sales Manager; Hotel Sales

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager with a proven track record of success in hotel sales to lead sales initiatives, drive revenue growth, and develop high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in group sales, corporate and negotiated accounts, SMERF, local business development, and overall hotel revenue generation.

This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating and maintaining key client and group relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue and sales goals. The Senior Sales Manager will actively pursue new accounts, strengthen existing partnerships, and maximize revenue across all market segments.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and a proven ability to generate group, corporate, transient, negotiated, and local market business. This individual will build meaningful relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, community partners, and key accounts while identifying opportunities to increase occupancy, ADR, and overall hotel revenue.

The Senior Sales Manager will work closely with hotel leadership, operations, revenue management, and other departments to ensure sales strategies align with property goals while delivering an exceptional guest experience. A proven history of achieving hotel sales goals, developing business, and growing revenue is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
• Lead, coach, and mentor sales representatives to improve performance and productivity.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
• Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and business agreements with customers.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments to support business goals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare regular sales reports and present performance updates to senior leadership.
• Establish sales KPIs and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and overall team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of sales experience, with demonstrated success in a Hotel Sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM systems (Delphi, PEP) and sales analytics.
• Ability to develop relationships with senior-level clients and decision-makers.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• MUST have Hotel Sales Experience.
