Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Atlanta, GA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site
OverviewA dynamic medical device start-up based in the Atlanta area is building out its commercial team and is looking for an ambitious, early-career Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive new business opportunities. This role sits at the top of the sales funnel, introducing a category-defining medical technology to physicians, clinics, and healthcare systems, and plays a key part in fueling the company's growth pipeline.
Whatyou'll do
- Identify and research prospective physicians, clinics, healthcare systems, and other potential customers
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through phone, email, Linked In, and other channels
- Initiate conversations with prospective customers and create interest in the company's technology
- Qualify prospects based on need, application, interest, timing, and potential fit
- Schedule qualified meetings, demonstrations, or discovery calls for the appropriate sales representative
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity information in the CRM
- Follow up consistently with prospects who are not yet ready to engage
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team
- Meet or exceed agreed-upon activity, qualified-meeting, and pipeline-generation goals
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with healthcare professionals, clinical staff, and physicians
- Comfortable making outbound calls, sending emails, and conducting consistent prospecting activity
- A self-starter mentality — able to organize daily activities, manage prospects, and prioritize with minimal oversight
- Strong listening and qualification skills — able to identify customer needs, interest, timing, and potential fit
- Genuine enthusiasm for sales and motivation to achieve activity and qualified-meeting goals
- Coachable and willing to learn a complex medical technology and understand its application in the pain management field
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training, company meetings, conferences, or other sales-related activities
- Prior experience in medical device sales, clinical sales support, or a related commercial role in healthcare/med-tech — particularly in the pain management field with companies like Stryker, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, or similar is a strong advantage, though not required
This is an opportunity to join a growing commercial team at a medical device start-up and help introduce a category-defining technology to the market by building and qualifying a strong sales pipeline.
