Regional Sales Representative - West Coast

Job Description

Our customer in the Automotive Technology space is expanding and rebuilding portions of its sales organization and is looking for high-performing Regional Sales Representatives to drive growth across multiple territories. The company currently has significant hiring needs and is focused on bringing in sales professionals who can quickly build pipeline, develop dealership relationships, and generate new business. (The urgency and territory rebuild focus comes from client feedback.)

This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, calling on automotive dealerships, conducting product demonstrations, managing a sales pipeline, and consistently achieving sales targets. Successful candidates are highly motivated hunters who are comfortable managing a territory independently and spending significant time in the field.

• 5+ years of automotive industry sales experience with a proven history of hitting or exceeding quota.
• Direct B2B sales experience, ideally selling to automotive dealerships or dealership groups.
• Strong outside sales or field sales background with significant dealership-facing experience.
• Comfort with heavy “windshield time,” meaning regular travel throughout the territory to meet customers in person.
• Existing relationships and credibility within the automotive dealership space.
• Ability to speak specifically about dealership groups, GMs, GSMs, Internet Sales Managers, BDC leaders, or other dealership decision-makers they have worked with.
• Hunter mentality with experience generating net-new business, opening doors, and building pipeline.
• Ability to manage a territory independently, build a plan, and forecast activity.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% throughout the assigned region. Resume and Linked In must align. The client may review Linked In and will question inconsistencies.
• Automotive SaaS or automotive technology sales experience.
• Experience selling digital retailing, chat, CRM, website, lead management, marketing technology, or other dealership-facing solutions.
• Prior dealership experience, especially in internet sales, BDC, digital retailing, or dealership sales leadership.
• Experience selling into franchise dealership groups.
• Experience launching, rebuilding, or growing territories.
• President’s Club, Chairman’s Club, top performer awards, or clear quota over achievement. Strong career stability and logical progression. Job hopping will be a concern.
