Performs a variety of complex duties involved in a clinical study, a basic science or research laboratory in support of research initiatives; develops and evaluates new techniques and procedures; may coordinate activities of support staff.

• Participate in the preparation and coordination of experiments and procedures, including caring for rodents, performing functional testing, scoring videos, serving as a surgery assistant, assisting with ordering, maintaining lab equipment and logbooks, and archiving specimens.
• Provide general support to the research team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, social sciences, natural sciences, life sciences, health care, or materials science directly related to the assigned research area; and experience in a research or clinical setting.
• OR Associate's degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of experience in a research or clinical area.

• Some previous experience with social/behavioral science (public health) research is desirable.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to work on campus.
• Ability to use sound judgement and work independently.

Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Band: B5

Salary Range: $17.88 / hour - $17.94 / hour (salary commensurate with qualifications within the range)
