Environmental Field Technician

Role Description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to work in the Atlanta, GA area, supporting clients in surrounding states. The role involves surface and groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil sampling, soil remediation oversight, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, and subcontractor oversight. Field work is required and occasional reporting to field offices. Relocation support may be considered.

• Groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling
• Implementation of various field activities including permit compliance sampling, monitoring well development and repair, waste management, etc.
• Remediation system operation, maintenance, and monitoring
• Site inspections
• Oversight of subcontractors to perform selected operations
• Remedial action field support such as in‑situ injection and source removal activities

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years environmental field experience
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., hold a valid driver's license, and work independently or lead small teams
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and complete scopes of work with limited supervision
• Familiarity with environmental standards, remedial systems, and related practices

Preferred/Beneficial Qualifications (if not already obtained):

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or Trade School certificate/diploma
• TWIC Card, DOT Haz Mat shipping training
• 10‑hour OSHA construction safety training

Paid holidays: nine. Paid time off: 15 days PTO accrue per year. Salary range: $25.00/hr–$34.04/hr (actual salaries vary).
