Role Description

The Research Assistant role is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Atlanta, GA. This role supports the daycare’s educational and operational effectiveness through systematic data collection, documentation, and analysis related to child development activities, learning outcomes, and program performance. Day‑to‑day tasks include conducting research on best practices in early childhood education, organizing and maintaining records, and assisting with simple observational studies or assessments in coordination with educators and administrators.

The Research Assistant will prepare reports and summaries to inform curriculum planning, family communications, and organizational decision‑making. The role also involves collaborating with staff to implement research‑based improvements and ensuring that all research activities comply with relevant policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and data analysis abilities for interpreting program and child development information.
  • Candidates should possess solid research skills, including information gathering, literature review, and basic study design.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills for clear reporting, collaboration with staff, and professional interaction with families.
  • Candidates should possess appropriate laboratory skills or experience with structured observation and data recording methods, as relevant to educational settings.
  • Candidates should ideally have experience or coursework in early childhood education, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, ethical handling of sensitive information, and the ability to work reliably in an on‑site team environment.
  • Candidates with proficiency in basic productivity and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software) are preferred.
